The championship course, designed by renowned English architect Keith Preston, opened in 2009. Situated within sight of Prague, the eighteen-hole course can stand comparison with the best courses of its kind in continental Europe. Its quality and difficulty has been tested by the likes of Ernie Els, Pádraig Harrington, John Daly, Tommy Fleetwood, Francesco Molinari and Henrik Stenson at the DP World Tour Czech Open (from 2014 to 2023). However, the Albatross was put to the test just two years after its opening when it hosted two Ladies European Tour events in 2011 and 2012. Regarded as one of the flagship Czech courses, it has five sets of tees, measuring an impressive 7428 yards from the black tees (professional) and 5502 yards from the red tees (ladies). As a result, it poses a challenge for each category of player. Its strengths are its variety of design and, above all, the quality of the playing surfaces, which are maintained all year round.
